Did you like the demo and are you buying the game?

I was so looking forward to this game, after playing the demo..... I don't know what I was expecting, whatever it was, the demo didn't do it for me.

I need more feedback, please see the last post in the other thread to help me answer this.:o

That why I posted this poll, reading the demo thread it seems we have a split developing by those who loved it and those who were a bit underwhelmed....

Personally I thought the demo was just 'ok' but I'm still going to buy this one.

Very good demo. Voted no buying because I will not pay retail. I will grab it marked down/used for sure though. If its a hit Gamestop will have bazzilion after the holidays and I can grab one of those.

Thought it was fun. Looking forward to renting this one.

It's stupid to buy a used game from GS unless it's at least 2-3 years old, then you can pick it up for $4-$15. Buying a used game for $55 is plain silly.

Gamestop charges near full price if what is returned sells quickly, somewhat regardless of the age. Once the on-the-shelf inventory increases, the used price will go down.

That makes sense with a game considered good like Gears of War, as they likely don't keep the used copies on the shelf for long.

Depends on the outlet and the game. The pricing for the web and stores is not always the same, often they are cheaper online than in stores, sometimes the other way.


I can grab Splinter Cell for 17.99 or 19.99 (Depending on the version) at Gamestop, I could have grabbed it for $26.99 3 months after it came out. I can grab Lair out what a month for $45.

Different games drop faster than others. I know Rainbow Six stayed $5 under until very recently at the closest Gamestop, but now its dropped like a rock at far less than a year on the shelves.

The reason why the price of R6V has dropped is because the new sale price has dropped by $20. As a general rule, the used prices at Gamestop is about $5 less than new. If you see a used price that is very cheap, and the new price that is very high, take the new game to the cashier and have them scan it, most of the time the price on the sticker is wrong and the real price is in the computer.

I really loved the demo. Definitely plan on buying this one when it comes out.

Its a Naughty Dog game, i would buy it even if i never seen any of it.

If the game manages to be a decent length (not like a certain other high-profile PS3 exclusive of late) I'll definitely get it....once my gaming budget re-accumulates itself after Galaxy and a few other games...

I know this thread is about buying, but how about renting? I have stopped buying BD and PS3 games, because my local Hollywood has had PS3 games for 6 months and now has BD movies. I will rent this one for sure.

Only two more weeks before I go home. Can't wait to play all the demos I missed in the last two months.

I thought the demo was fun, though not as great as I was expecting, but will certainly buy the game, as I expect it will have a terrific variety of environments.

There needs to be an option for "Liked the demo, putting on my Christmas list".

Both Heavenly Sword and Ratchet were way better than the short demos, I expect the same from Uncharted. It will be another great game.
