I have noticed since the 2.0 fw ....I can access the web/internet but it will freeze my PS3 after about 15 to 20 minutes!!!
I have to turn off the PS3 with the power button on the machine itself...
having said this....I can play a DVD/BLU-RAY movie's for hours and hours and also play games without it freezing the PS3 up!!!!
But sure enough when I use the web browser it will lock it up within 20 to 30 mintues of use!!!
Anybody else have this problem??If so did it happen after the 2.0 fw??
Any suggestions as what I need to do to correct the problem?
thanks quickifre

I haven't had any issues so far. In fact, my web browsing seems quicker after the update.

I just got a freeze, just as you described. Same time frame.
Got a second look up. Both when using the forum jump feature.

Did it lock up completley?? I have to push the powwr button on the PS3 itself to turn it off and then back on again!!!!!!:(
Something isn't right with the web browser since 2.0 for me...I hope Sony fixes this quickly!!!

How do we make SONY aware of this problem??
Yep, I am having major issues with internet access in 2.00....for some people disabling the notices solves the problem, but as long as my ethernet is plugged in, my ps3 freezes whenever I try to start a game, movie, etc. The only solution I found so fay is just to unplug my ps3's ethernet cord entirely.....c'mon Sony, fix this stuff!!!

Every time i have issues with online games i disable Media Server Connection. Its the thing that searches your network for PC's to share media. You can find it at> System Settings>Network Settings>Media Server Connection. It usually works for me when i have online issues.

What he said.
Disable that stupid ticker and all your problems will be solved. There seem to be major issues with that stupid thing.
