A poll for "purple people" (ONLY people who OWN HD DVD and Blu-ray disc players): Do you currently have more HD DVD's or Blu-ray disc movies in your rental queue (with Blockbuster, Netflix, etc.)? I'm just curious :) This poll has been placed in both format areas for fairness. The matching poll can be found at:

Well, I currently rent more HD-DVDs than Blu-Ray. However, I buy more Blu-Rays than HD-DVDs. This is because HD-DVDs are too expensive to buy, while Blu-Rays are cheaper and closer to DVD prices.

It is close to even but I have more red because It is more convenient to just use my Harmony than the PS3 control so I tend to rent red on neutral format movies.

I rent more BR than HD at this point.

I buy more HD, so I have a lot more BR in my queue. Plus, for some reason I tend to move the HD movies to the top of my queue, and my BR movies just sit there.

Interesting numbers so far. I just went to check the same poll in the Blu-ray forum and it appears to have been deleted. I double checked via the link in the first post. I wonder why? I don't see where any of the new forum rules are being violated. The polls were yielding varying results, which (I thought) was interesting. What is the point of having polls when (for the most part) when you can't use the for gauging facts or speculation? Moderators, this has the look of being biased.

I have more HD simply because I've had my A20 for 4 months and just bought a BD drive for my HTPC last week. The 5 free movies with the A20 also helped. BD has more titles I'm interested in purchasing

36-25 in favor of HD-DVD, but I think this is completely because I got HD-DVD first and I don't want to go through the whole queue just to change dual format releases.
