Looks like another one bite the dust!

At CEDIA Expo Sharp senior vice president Bob Scaglione announced that after November [2007], Sharp will end production of CRT televisions. Instead, Sharp will concentrate on production of LCD TVs.

Sharp TVs was catered to lower end market and were never in the league of Sony or Panasonic TVs as far as picture quality was concerned. But it was up there with the best of them for reliability and quality. Luckily, have the Sharp’s last 32 inch non-flat model.

Farewell my friend.

Sorry to see them go. I have the Sharp 32F641 and feel the picture quality is very close to the Sony 32FS120 of it's day. The departure of Sharp doesn't leave much choice for even a quality SD set.

It's getting harder and harder to find a decent CRT these days. I can't even think of any retail models that aren't total pieces of garbage or have horrible geometry problems.

For 30" or less, there are still Samsung sets. (Last I saw anyway...)
