I am getting some choppy video when I am exporting my edited footage to an FLV, I am looking for the best setup if anyone would be willing to help.

Currently I am using the HV20, capturing with Adobe Premiere Elements 3.0 (HDV capture in 720p and 1080i), and exporting to a FLV.

Does the FLV deinterlace itself? I am seeing the Interlace effects when in motion when export to a .wmv, but getting choppiness in the .flv.

Also I am thinking about using brightcove to help host and distribute...does anyone have any feedback or other options they might suggest?

Any help/feedback is greatly appreciated!!!

Try looking into the video upload requirement of the site you're going to. Sometimes it's not much help. Restrict the bitrate and pixel dimension. YouTube has a 100MB file maximum.

I shoot my blog with an HV20 (and a Sony HC3).

I export as a 3MB/s WMV9 file (using Sony Vegas). A 2-min video is usually around 50MB in size.

I've been using YouTube to serve the videos, but am considering a switch to Veoh or blip.tv -- both offer higher quality viewing, although their interface/tools need some work.
