Is it the HDMi repeater?
Shoujiki 11-12-07, 03:02 AM Nah, the IFB-HD card...Sony internal HDMI card, with gamma and remote.
Mister Spoons 11-12-07, 08:14 AM hey Shoujiki - I got mine today just no idea where to fit it in a G70 can you help point me in the right direction?
Mister Spoons 11-12-07, 08:27 AM OK might have solved the problem assume I replace the Signal interface board (input B)?
Is that right - it;s the only one with a handle on the board like Moome's card?

yep take out the signal interface board and slip in the IFB-HD, Make shore you take the 2 screws out of the interface board and put them in the IFB-HD face plate + check that the jumper pin in the IFB-HD card is set to jumper pin number (1) if it is going into input B on your G70....
Shoujiki 11-12-07, 04:41 PM ^ Yup thats it! My 1272 had a blank slot, so i just removed the plate..and slotted this in...
What did you mean by the jumper? I've put mine into "input b" and it seems to work well...should I have checked that jumper? What happens if it's not correct?
cinema mad 11-13-07, 11:03 AM The jumper pins I am talking about are on the IFB-HD card, Depending on what model sony projector you have determine's which jumper pin configuration you need to use.
J(1):for Sony VPH G series CRT projectors.. J(2):for Sony VPH 12xx series CRT projectors(from +15v) and Switchers:PC1270/1271.(Can use on most Sony CRT projector's.. J(3):For Sony VPH 12xx series (from stand-by +5v, NOT RECOMENDED!!
So if you have A Sony VPH-1272 you would set the MOOME IFB-HD HDMI card to J(2)
Mister Spoons 11-13-07, 11:24 AM I feel such an idiot - it's obvious where it goes when you know...... I think the only place on the card bus it will actually fit. So plugged in set up HDMI to PS3 - jaw dropping improvment.... Massive difference.. true I'm watching Blue Ray at 1080i but still improved contract, brightness ..
Makes me want to spent the usual 4 hrs going cross eyed setting the G70 up
Didn't see much improvment on the Gamma if anything did happen it was way subtle (I have the Gamma card model)
Maybe off topic but what are the best settings for the PS3 I note many HDMI setting options

ImaStar 11-13-07, 01:13 PM With the IFB-HD card will I still need a transcoder or go-between with my G70 if all sources are HDMI/component?

Did you follow the Gamma setup guide (http://www.curtpalme.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=6520)?

1x Happy Bunny :DI think there is no doubt Moome's IFB-HD card makes A huge difference in image quality when compared to 5BNC inputs. The gamma adjustment on the IFB-HD is there to bring out some detail in the lower light scenes, you must calibrate the projector and IFB-HD card to get the Gamma to work correctly....
