Anyone know where I can order the new Dual Shock PS3 controller and import to Canada? I tried Play-Asia but they are out of stock.

Any suggestions?

When you say it already works for PS2 dualshock, do you mean:

a) PS2 games rumble with the Dualshock 3 when played on the PS3

or

b) PS2 Dualshock will rumble with PS2 games and PS3 games on the PS3 (ran through an adapter)

So I guess I am more interested in Scenario b. If I have an older PS2 dualshock can I get rumble from PS3 games when connected to the PS3 via an adapter?

Both of the articles that I read stated that the DS3 will now rumble for PS2 and PS1 games.

Will the White PS3 work with US games?
Does it just plugg into US electrical sockets for power? OR do I need a convertor?

I got mine from Japan Video Games. (http://www.japanvideogames.com/) They are about 10 minutes from my house so I picked it up myself, but they ship it to where ever I believe. Any one in So.Cali may want to look them up if they ever want to buy imported gaming related items. The store is pretty well stocked with stuff and they had plenty of DS3s left when I got mine yesterday.

And yes, I've personally tested it and the vibration works fine for PS1 and PS2 games.

It charges via USB so there's nothing to worry about as far as electricity goes.

No need to wait (I didn't). Just go down there and pick it up.

OceanAve: Yes, there is no lockout of games between the US and Japan since they are now in the same region according to Sony's worldwide region divisions. The imported white PS3 should work fine with american games.

Just ordered mine from Japan Video Games.

Kinda pricey, but it will be nice to play R&C and Uncharted with rumble.

Japanvideogames.com is VERY reliable for this sort of thing.

so, if the pre-release imports are 75-ish, is there any clue as to what the domestic ones will cost when they're finally released?

Very reliable ... The release date for the controllers was Nov. 11th ... I received mine Nov. 13th.

As you're asking a question that's not relevant to the topic, you may want to make a new topic next time.

But I'll answer you. Yes, the Japanese Ceramic White PS3 will play US games. Japanese PS3s can play US PS3 games. But keep in mind that there is still a region lock for DVDs, PS2, and PS1 games, meaning you won't be able to play US PS2/1 games and DVDs on the Japanese Ceramic White PS3.

PLUS on the site they say that pre-orders would not be charged until the product ships. I put in a pre-order (I wanted to have a back up pre-order)with them a few weeks ago and they charged me instantly. I cancelled my pre-order and it took them a week to refund my credit card. I will stick to Play-Asia.com.

I'll throw in another good word for JapanVideoGames.com

Ordered the DS3 on Monday, 12 November and it shipped Tuesday.

$75 plus shipping is a little steep, but again its an import and seeing how its not due in the States until next Spring, it makes sense. Gotta love free market capitalism.

Thanks JB again. Picked up 2 controllers yesterday from Japan Video Games fro my 80 gig.

[QUOTE=Tigerriot;12216197]It's already been confirmed that the following games support rumble right now.

Resistance
Motorstorm
Assassin's Creed
Ratchet and Clank
Uncharted

COD4 has already been confirmed to not have rumble, but the development team has said they could add it later with a patch. I think people need to send them emails and beg they add it to the game.

MY DS3 Games:

Resistance
MotorStorm
Assassin's Creed
Ratchet & Clank

[Formula 1: CE?]
[Dirt (heard there was an option in the game]

The one I want it to work with the most is COD4.

 :o
