You always buy a line level switcher. You would plug your extra devices into it and then the output to whichever input you want on your receiver. You would then set your receiver to that input and then switch the switcher. I'm sure they make IR controlled switchers so you wouldn't have to get off the seat to change sources.

Or the more expensive but better in the long run solution is always a new receiver.

What receiver?

You can probably use a simple A/V switcher (or two). You could use not only its audio inputs but you could use its video inputs for audio, too.

Ok thanks but what is a line level switcher, can somebody direct me to one? Does Radio Shack have them?

Target, Wal-Mart, etc..

Item #150181099706 @ EeeBaay = $2.99

Search on "AV Switcher" @ EeeBaay for more

You can spend more and get one with a remote.

It's exactly what I linked you to. Line-level is what the L/R outputs of your source devices are; RCA outputs. As opposed to speaker-level outputs. And as truss pointed out, you can get one with a remote (IR controlled), if you want to spend a little more.

Ok but with this AV Switcher i can only hook it up between two components correct? Please forgive me i am not an expert i am just trying to connect my pc to my stereo receiver, and i have no inputs left on the back terminal of my stereo receiver.

Here is an example of an AV selector available at Radio Shack:

4-Way Audio/Video Selector Switch (http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2049645&cp=&sr=1&origkw=audio+switch&kw=audio+switch&parentPage=search)

It allows you to connect four devices to one RCA (red+white) audio input.

You don't need to spend a fortune unless you need one with a remote. The one at eebaay that I posted in #6 may look cheap, but it WILL do the job. They had others at eebaay, too, that had more/less inputs and that were black instead of that terrible traffic sign yellow.

But, you can find AV switchers at larger grocery stores and Walgreen's/Rite-Aid, even.
