Thanks.
I'll pick up HS if I can find it.

Don't get too excited, Heavenly Sword is still $55 used. Even at 20% off, it's still way too much to pay for a 5 hour long game. I had the same idea at lunch, until I saw how much the 20% was coming off of. Yikes.

I would have actually picked up Ratchet, but they didn't have any. Preordered Uncharted when I was there, though.

I like how every post about Heavenly Sword has to knock its length. But not only knock how long it is, but greatly overexaggerate how short it is. Started off at 7-8 in reviews, then dropped to 6 when people complained about and now it apparently only takes 5 hours. MAYBE if you skip all the cutscenes and completely bypass the story, but there's no way it's being beaten in 5 hours playing it the first time. And regardless of length (whatever exaggerated estimation you want to use), it was still a fun game (and a good story). Worthy of one, if not multiple, play-throughs.

Anyone seen Warhawk used in store? I wonder what it runs used. If I'm near the mall this week, I might have to drop by the two stores. I'm assuming EB and GS take the coupon?

My EB had one copy, $35.

Warhawk is 34.99 used because they dropped the regular price to 39.99

I suppose I could pick up marvel or something.

Hey, no need to get defensive. I'm not arguing it's a good game, it's just not worth the asking price. It's a $30 game at best.

Sorry, wasn't trying to be defensive. I just thought HS got a bum rap because of it being somewhat short. Seems like many turned away from it simply because everyone focused on the length vs. how cool the game was in spite of it. I thought it was well worth the $60 I spent on it.

First 5 hours, now $30...you are hardly proving any "good game" points here. Many of us here bought it at $60 and think it worths the full price.

What point do I need to make? If I'm spending 40+ bucks on a game, it needs to last me longer than two evenings. I'll gladly pay the $100 for Guitar Hero because I'll play the thing for months, and the $60 for CoD4 because the single player is sufficiently lengthy (on Veteran) AND I'll play the multiplayer well past the New Year.

Heavenly Sword looks very cinematic and the demo was fun, but for two nights' worth of gaming it's a "rental" type game, or one that I'd buy on the cheap.

Can we get back to the subject at hand? (and not debate the HS playtime vs worth)

My GS had a pretty poor selection of used games. They had The Darkness ($27 used; $29 new), HS, Jericho, Motorstorm, the typical EA sports games and I didn't see much else.

Can anyone recommend something to look for? I didn't see COD4 or R&C.

You can get Motorstorm for around $28.

Does anyone know if you can use your Edge card for an additional 10% off?

Over at CAG they say YMMV for the Edge card. Most are reporting yes.

Darkness and Jericho are both awful.

Motorstorm is excellent, and well worth it if you like arcade racers. Ninja Gaiden Sigma is a really good hack and slash/adventure game, but is fairly hard.

Darkness is bad, huh? Well you just saved me $21. Thanks! I will probably hold onto that money and use it for Uncharted.

How about Fight Night Round 3? Seems to get good reviews. Is it a good two-person game (for parties and such)?

Heavenly Sword is a 7-8 hour game first time through. Why do people have to troll as they exaggerate is beyond me.

Thanks for the link OP. Seems like a good deal.

FNR3 is great. My neighbor and I play it all the time. If you like boxing, it doesn't get better than that game. We have dollar fight nights every once in a while with a big group of guys. Good times.

It really is a showcase piece for the system, and a well done game to boot. Well worth the cash.

heavenly Sword is a great game and should definately be played by any action/adventure fans.IF you can beat it in 5 hours the first time through then you are a bad ass.I am on my second play through now and it is much more satisfying the second time.

It says PS3 game on the coupon.

Where did this coupon come from? Magazine, online, store flier?

That coupon is from their weekly email that they send to everybody that signed up on their email list. If you have the edge card, that should stack with it too for an extra 10%.

I wonder if I can find a used copy of folklore somewhere.
