Help me select 2 HD movies for tonight viewing. My A2 just arrived today but my new AE2000 is going back tomorrow for a replacement. I hope I'm not without for a couple of weeks :(. I've never seen HD DVD except at Cedia and store demos so tonights my chance to kick back with my new A2 and AE2000.

I believe this is the important question. HD is WONDERFUL but it will never make an awful movie good, no matter how crisp the picture is or bright the colors are.

The ones that generally get the best grades for picture are:

Hot Fuzz
King Kong
Corpse Bride
Transformers

And Matrix (though on the tier thread this one falls to the second tier)

Have you NOT had a chance to acutally WATCH Transformers? HELLO!!!!!!

Obviously you don't subscribe to the HD content through DirecTV. I will sit and watch the dumbest nature crap just because its in glorious vibrant HD. I mean come on, who would actually sit through Planet Earth if it wasn't in HD?
