I am setting a home theatre system and woud like to have some guidance/opinion between these two options. Optoma HD80 with 90"screen or 58" HDTV Plasma (Samsung). Space is 24x14 no windows. From a pricing stand point is a push so any insight on pros and cons will be greatly appreciated.

I have the HD 80....Basement... 1 window...
Haven't set it up yet but it is the Bang for the Buck option.
I got mine on sale, with a coupon, from Best Buy. All the other companies online could not match the deal. The reviews I have read on the HD 80 sold me on the idea.

Optoma HD80. Bigger is better in this case. Do you want a t.v. or the movie theater experience?

I vote for the projector. The picture will be twice as big and look just as good.

Thank you for your comments. I was leaning towards the projector but now there is no doubt. Here is my future set up Optoma HD80, 92" screen innovations, Denon AVR 1908, Definitive Tech speakers and sub with panasonic blue ray. Any additional comments to improve the set up are always welcomed. Thanks

Buy the Denon 2308 with the Audyssey Multi EQ...
The auto room set-up feature is well worth it. Call JR Music World. Killer prices. I got my Denon that had a MSRP of $2,499 for $1,999 shipped!
Definitive Tech is a great value/sound speaker. My surrounds are primo!
