Does anyone know the Audio Bit Rate stats on the DTS and DD tracks of the Cream Live at Albert Hall HD DVD?

I know that I don't recommend this title. Rent it first. Great PQ and AQ, but the performance is pretty uninspiring, and I like Cream and Clapton quite a bit.

Rent it first!

Rental ?!

Yeah right this is one of my favorite HD-DVD's available.
Clapton rocks. The set is great.

The songs are awesome. The sound quality is pristine running 2.0 PCM through optical into my old receiver.

If you like Cream at all this is a must own.

I also really love this disk, one of my favorites.

To answer your first question the DTS track is 1.5Mbits and there are no DD or DD+ tracks just the 5.1 DTS and the 2.0 PCM.

I love Cream, but that concert was the original Cream members playing Cream songs. But, it wasn't Cream. There was a huge difference.

yeah, 35 years of difference. It wasn't Cream from the 60's, but it's still amazing regardless. As a musician myself, I really love this disc.

All the Cream I currently listen to is on vinyl. The 2.0 PCM rips my family room apart!!

I can pop this baby in on a Sunday morning and crank it. These guys are smooth man.

They may not be rockin' like back in the day, but I don't expect them too. That would be an unfair and unrealistic expectation on my part.

I enjoy this disk for what it is, a monumental reunion of one of the worlds oldest and greatest rock trios. Not to mention the venue is ridiculous. I could only WISH I was at Royal Albert Hall watching Eric Clapton play old Cream tunes.

Thanks to this HD-DVD I can get stunning visual and sound reproductions of those few nights at RAH.

Musically Clapton still can play and so can Jack, but Ginger barely kept a simple beat. However, how can you have the Cream sound with no Marshals (and no waw-wah?)? :) The audio and video is excellent, I caught the show on PBS. Me, I prefer the old DVDs of them playing.

I agree! This is one of my favourites. In the interview section Clapton talkes about trying the old sound equipment etc., but it just didn't work for them. I like this better with Clapton on planet earth rather than the old stuff where Clapton was basically a space cadet. Jack Bruce rocks!

Cheers,

Grant
