Guys,

I have upgrade-itis. Trying to decide between replacing my 1271 with either a BG808 or going for the convenience and WAF of a digital PJ like the Sharp DT-500 or the Mits HC3000.

Anyway, I'm not familiar with the Barco units. Are they really nearly twice the lumen output of a Sony 1271? I was all set to go digital, but now I'm just not sure.

Also, the jump from an ES to an EM unit would be impressive, I'm sure.

Tell me the great things about the Barco I don't know. Keep me analog! :)

Thanks.

Also, the jump from an ES to an EM unit would be impressive, I'm sure. Thanks. that is an impressive jump but not nearly as impressive as feeding the 8" machine an HDMI signal. Then it really gets into the knock-your-socks off territory. I would shoot for a 1208 or a Marquee 8500 over an 808 though.

BARCO LC RETRO GRAPHICS for 750.00 just need to find lenses. With blue ray all I can say is wow! The other forum for sale section has them listed. I have had plenty of 808's and I would go with a 98 model or later and LC is the only way to go if you can afford it. I am currently running a Graphics 808s that I am converting to LC by using the parts from a Retro chasis.

Good Luck
