Hello, I'm new here and need some advises. Great site by the way!

My setup:

TV: KDS-60A2000 (1 year old)
Satellite: Dish Network
Connection: Component

My issues are when switching inputs from watching DVD to Satellite the picture is broken-up into a snow effect and runs across the screen. The only way to fix it is to turn off the TV completely and turn it back on. The TV is a year old and the problem started within the last month.

Any advise would be great.

So the problem is only with the one component input? If so maybe try a different component input,(you should have at least two) to see if the problem goes away.

The problem may not be the tv but could be the sat. receiver instead. Many Dish Net. subscribers have reported a "snowy" screen problem with the VIP211 and possibly some other receivers. You should check out DBS Talk Forum for more info.

These are just guesses of course but maybe a place to start.
