i was able to get a great deal on one of these and love it. i want to eventually have a full home theater set up but have to buy it piece by piece due to money. anyway, i'm looking at a receiver and some floorstanding speakers now and am getting caught up in all of this hdmi 1.3 talk. it's my understanding that the hdmi ports on my tv are 1.1 so would getting a receiver with 1.3 ports make any difference if the tv can't handle it? the same goes for the toshiba hd-a2 that i got in the same deal with my tv. i've read a little about firmware 1.3 updates but is that just the update version or does it actually update the hdmi to 1.3? i'm very new to all of this so any help/correction is appreciated.
