Hey all,
I was comparing the audioengine A2's with the Swan M200's. No one had experience with both, but some folks(http://episteme.arstechnica.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/67909965/m/171001297831) thought that the audioengines "woofer" is really a mid. As such, is the swan simply a better speaker given it's specs?

Does this distinction(and the fact that the swans are a lot bigger and heavier) mean that the swans out-class the audioengines?

I have no experience with either of the two but in a nutshell, yes, providing both a of quality design/construction and components.

A speaker with a 5" cone is going to be able to displace much more air than a speaker with a 2.75". Should be smoother across it's frequency range an have to work less to fill the same amount of space.

I just got the a2's about a week ago. I think they sound great! I haven't heard the swans though. The small size of the a2s and the quality of the speakers/sound is what sold me. I can tell you that the slot/port on the bottom of the speaker moves ALOT of air. When I play music at a "normal" volume, I can feel the air against my hand while using the mouse. Pretty Impressive.
