Since the pricing police have clamped down on threads stating numbers, I shall tread lightly. A couple weeks ago the HD A2 was offered at various retailers for what I will term an "acceptable" price. Since I was quite busy that Thursday night and Friday, I did not learn of the event until all units were sold in my area. After reading of more recent finds at various retailers I began looking for an HD A2 today. The mall department store was out of stock, but I did find one at Big Box Mart. They informed me that this unit, while unopened, had been returned, but they refused to sell it for the "acceptable" price. They wanted twice the previous price, which I found was completely unacceptable. I've read the justifications for paying more, but to be quite honest, neither format is worth more than the heretofore unmentionable "acceptable" price while there is a format war taking place. My question to anyone with knowledge, is this: when and where are prices going to become "acceptable" again?

Sadly for you these were special sales and you have to be there to get them. I'm sorry that you want it for a certian price and can't get it . I can tell you that the a3 with 2 free movies in the box along with the 5 free mail ins for about $150 on black friday .

The "acceptable price" was a sale and that is a special price. Even the "unacceptable price" is not bad for what you get. What was the "acceptable price" for you HD TV?
