According to reports and retailer information, it seems that Hairspray (2007) and In the Land of Women (2007) is now scheduled for an Italian HD DVD release.



Hairspray (2007) will be available to own in high-definition on HD DVD, come December 12. Early details are pretty sketchy but I believe we can expect an English audio track on the disc.


Another film, Il bacio che aspettavo/In the Land of Women (2007), starring Adam Brody, Kristen Stewart, Meg Ryan and Olympia Dukakis, will also be available to own in high-definition on HD DVD in Italy starting December 5. Early details are pretty sketchy but I believe we can expect an English audio track on the disc.

No, I think Mr. Greenway is amused by the mentioning of region coding, since there is none on HD DVD right now.

The US release of Hairspray is packed with extras, so you may want to wait for the HD DVD release Stateside for this film if you're a fan.

Anybody know whats the deal with the "In the Land of Women" HD-DVD?
It was supposded to be released in December...then January...now it's February and still there seems to be no shop which has this one in stock.
Some italian stores have the blu-ray though...I really want to have this film
