Hi,

Thanks to great information from the forum, I completed my dedicated theater in my basement, it's a 19x13x7 room with 16:9 ratio 98' diagonal MDF DIY screen.
First row seating at 14' and second row seating at 18'.

Equipment:
Denon 3802 Receiver
Kef Q65.2 fronts, Q55.2 surrounds,
Kef reference 100 center
SVS PB12 Plus
Oppo 971HD
Panasonic PT AX100U 720P
Screen: 16:9 (48'x86')

Once I completed my basement setup, I started setting up my equipment and noticed I was not entirely satisfied with my audio settings. All the equipment speakers (subwoofer: svs Pb12 Plus, again thanks to the forum for that) performed exceedingly well in my first floor family room for the past couple of years.

I had to do extensive subwoofer placement testing, I followed the method of putting the subwoofer in the listening position and crawling around the room for the best boom and tightness. I am more than pleased now.

I will try to put some pictures soon.

Few things I would like to highlight in my basement construction, I got all this valuable information by browsing through, avsforum, etc.

1) I did staggered wall construction for the wall adjoing my furnace area-framing studs OC 8'
2) I used Homasote sound proof barriers (4x8) sheets on these walls primarily to cut down noise from the furnace area-worked out well :)
3) I put dimmers for my 6 recessed cans
4) I also put dimmers for my sconces, provides a nice touch.
5) I added a dedicated 20 AMP circuit for the theater room
6) I put electrical outlets on the ceiling as well on the back wall, which is what I use for my projector
7) I added an outlet just above the ceiling, hoping to add a perimeter rope lighting.

I am in the process of understanding anamorphic lens and I am planning to try a 2.35:1 wilsonart DW (41x96)
