Hi,

I'm new here, so first of all hello everybody.

I seem to be somewhat of an exception,

When I projected my picture onto the blank wall I only had pincushioning at the bottom end, the top didn't seem to suffer from it.

So I built the screen only curved at the bottom. :)

I made the screen by using a standard 1.20m x 2.60m drywall pannel, painted with about 6 layers of special "screen paint".

Since the pannel is 9mm thick I was able to curve the screen at the bottom to counter the pincushioning, while leaving the top straight.

I did tilt it backwards slightly, but this is because I have to put my (rather old :( ) projector high against the ceiling and I don't have shift or keystone options.

In this view you can see the top is straight and the whole screen is slightly tilted backwards.

This is the curved bottom.

By the way, there are more pics of my living room / home theatre in my blog. You can also find some pics of the construction process. I'm rather proud of how it turned out, since we did everything ourselves!! Hope you like it !!

Hi Djorre,

Tilting of the Anamorphic adaptor can change the amount of pincushion you see at the top and or bottom. I too found that initially I only needed to curve the bottom, but have since found a position that produces even pincushion top and bottom...

Well,

the thing is,

I'm still on the look-out for my prisms, did some photo-store and gift shops today. But no luck.

I did get some leads, the owner of the Photo-stores had a kind of award (in glass cristal) on his desk, so I asked him if he could find out which company made it. :)

So for the time beeing, I'm still convicted to the zoom function of my PJ :( :(

Maybe that is the reason for the single sided pincushion?!?
