Well I just bought (ordered from Sears) the Sony 52w3000 52" 1080p LCD HDTV and I'm going to get the Onkyo 908 HTIB from Fry's if it goes to 800 in the next couple of weeks, My problem is this, My room is 9'6"Wx13'3"Lx8'H and I need to know where to put my speakers to get the best sound I will watch the tv from 2 places, on my bed where my head is going to be directly inline with the tv but the tv will be wall mounted maybe about 6" from the ceiling and comes down apx 3' so I'll be looking upward, the second spot is from my chair in front of my Desk I've scanned a drawing of what my room looks like so if you could tell me where the 7.1 system speakers should go, thanks a lot

ur room isn't really suited to a 7.1 setup in my opinion, because you're too close to the back walls to derive any real benifit.

5.1 would work well and because you have a 2ndary seating location, you can maybe find a way to have the other 2 speakers setup to give you a surround sound from ur desk location.

either that or just focus on surroundsound for the bed seating area, and dial up the volume when ur at ur desk.
