Even though that is a poorly descriptive thread title, I figured it was going to relate to P&P.
Haven't followed the link yet, but I did check out a few scenes from the disc last night and it is indeed a winner. I only rented the previous sd version, but I went to several specific scenes that I remembered being somewhat soft and smeary, and they were brilliantly detailed here. It is a GORGEOUS looking disc, and fans of the film (and their boyfriends/girlfriends) will be very happy with it.

This disc looks fantastic. Top quality PQ and AQ. The quality of Keira's peach fuzz is sharper here than even in Pirates movies.

This is definitely going to be a blind buy for me.

Thanks for the heads up. The wife is not feeling the HD DVD love yet. I hope this does it. I just displaced "Knocked Up" from my #1 spot in my Netflix queue with P&P. She walked out on Transformers before the scorpion scene.

It may not carry the obvious appeal to high-def early adopters of a 'Pirates of the Caribbean,' or a 'Matrix,' but don't let the eighteenth century trappings of 'Pride and Prejudice' fool you. Yes, this one's initially likely to be of more interest to your wife or girlfriend, but 'Pride and Prejudice' is actually the rare romantic period piece that's likely to ultimately leave male viewers as satisfied as the females.

There are probably health benefits to being that skinny. You don't usually see them with diabetes or heart problems, the 2 biggest killer diseases.
