Hi all-
I just took possession of a Marantz DV7600. I'm replacing a Denon DVD2910 with it. I'm having some issues with it right off the bat and was wondering if anyone's encountered anything similar and may have some suggestions.

I have a DVD that I burned just recently of an iMovie done on my iMac. It was made using all the newest software, and done on a brand new machine (new 20" iMac). When I put the dvd in the 7600 tonight, I noticed that it was hiccuping while playing it after a few minutes in – it was skipping forward by a second or two, stuttering/pausing for brief moments (~ 1 second) and overall, just seeming like it was not liking the disk. Thought it might be the disc, so I tested it in both my computer and on the Denon 2910....both worked flawlessly. No stuttering. No pausing. No hiccuping whatsoever. The computer I could see, but seeing as the 2910 plays it flawlessly, I'm inclined to think it's not a problem with the disc, but rather, a problem with the player.

Has anyone had a similar experience? Do Marantz players not play nice with DVD's burned at home? I'm really let down by this. We have in-laws coming tomorrow and were looking forward to displaying the movie. I guess I could leave the Denon hooked up, but that's a short-term band-aid. For the long term, I'd like to know if this is going to be an ongoing problem as that's just not going to work for me. :(

Thanks for any help or insight offered.
