Look up the relevant threads on this forum and do a search for "settings". Lots of good info there. But be aware that sets can differ, and what works for one owner may not be perfect for another.

I must be an idiot. i did a search and found lots of settings for different tvs, but none specifically for the tv i have. I am completely illiterate when it come to stuff like this. So any help finding a thread I can use would very much appreciated!

No, you're not the idiot. I too performed a search for jvc settings. Results...over 100 threads, some threads with over 3000 posts. Now, wouldn't have been nice for the other gentleman/lady to have provided some sort of link, as opposed to a worthless recommendation?
