Hi everyone,

I have a HC-3 for couple of months now and the time came to transfer all the HiDef staff I filmed from DV tapes to DVDs.
My question is: do you guys know of any guides (for non-technical people) on how to capture, edit, author and save the results in a format that I'll be able to burn it on HiDef DVDs(or BluRay DVDs) later on?

I do have a good PC with a lot of hard drive space (over 1 TB) and I will be able to store the final HiDef files until the HiDef DVDs burners and media will be more accessible.

Thanks.

Sir,

One idea for you, there are others.....

If you want to burn your HD footage to HD DVD using DVD, RIGHT NOW, you can by using this process:

You will need a HD DVD player to playback however.

Check this thread out for more options:

The great thing is your tapes can always be the "master" for your footage.

How about using the Vegas 8 Pro package?

I've seen Vegas and look so complicated for a beginner; so many options to go through.
I would like to be able to capture from HC3 on the PC, to do some light editing and authoring (create some chapters and menus) and burn it on a DVD+R DL.
Anybody knows of step by step guides or detailed settings for Vegas?

Thanks.
