There are factual errors in the article. One I can think of it says neither high definition formats are backward compatible- huge error if someone thinks about going HD

He then goes on to say "Even though you can create HD DVD-formatted discs on DVD-R/+R media, regular DVD players can’t play these discs." So I think the term "forward compatible" (if there is a correct term let me know) is more of what the writer was trying to say.

I'm sure he mean't to say it, but it has left some confusion to the casual reader who is not a die hard hobbyist.
