I have a Samsung DLP HLN-4365W TV that was purchased new about 4 years ago. Recently the color wheel was making a loud noise and had my extended warranty replaced it for free.

After the replacement there is an on/off chime/music when I turn the TV on and off. It's like when you turn on windows you'll hear a welcome sound and the when you shut it off a different sound. Everything is working fine other than this annoying sound.

Is it an indication that something was not done right? If not, how do I turn it off?

No, there is an option to turn it off. I can't remember if it was a service menu option or just a regular menu option, but there is one.

I just found my answer by accident.

It was "Melody" that was turned on in the regular setup menu.
