Hi folks,

I connected my DVD and my HDDVD player to my 1272 via composite(VIDEO) since I don't have HDFury yet. I noticed that there are weird short/flickering lines above the image. It happens on both players. I tried different movies on both players and they're still there. However, if I watch from my HTPC which is at 1080i, I don't see those lines. Oh, in the area where the movie is projected, zero issues. I love it! Just those lines above. I marked the lines with red on my screenshot below. How do we fix them?

Thanks!

You need to reconverge while connected to the composite input, so that your image matches the screen edges, and all other convergence settings of course. Composite video uses a different memory block then the internal oscillation, and 1080i. Once you have it converged, simply use blanking to get rid of those lines. They are normal, and have appeared in most of my setups, I just use blanking to kill them off.

One thing to remember- RGB SIZE and SHIFT do NOT work with composite video input.. you have to use CENT or ZONE 1, then SIZE G(since it adjusts all three) to manipulate the size and centering of a video image.

I did the convergence while the input was on. Glad you mentioned about blanking. This is the button that I have not tried yet. What does it do? I don't understand the lower/upper, etc? I read in the manual that it's used for masking.

Yep, I noticed it before that RGB Size and SHIFT only works for Inputs A & B and the switchers.

Thanks again! :)
