I have a comcast dual tuner hd box, DCT3416 1 says dual tuner HD HDMI on front, and am about to buy a projector but also will have a wall mounted lcd for daytime viewing and for daughter (cartoons etc).
I realize if i change the channel etc it will effect both units, but I wondered with all the outputs on the comcast box, could I run an hdmi to the projector, and also run a component cable to the lcd, so that no matter which I am watching tv wise i would still be able to have 1080i output to both units (whichever is on)?
If I can't get it to feed 2 tvs same time in 1080i, can I run a hdmi or component to the projector (for best pic) and at least a composite or svideo to the lcd on wall for 480?
(Just want a way to view the lcd for days when we arent using the big projector) cartoons for daughter, or bright sunny daytime viewing -dont wanna blow out the bulb prematurely.
The box says motorola DCT3416 1
(also have had this a while, are there newer better faster boxes out there from comcast), I am in Central Michigan if that helps, White Lake, MI 48383.
Mine has some serious lag issues when using the remote, have tried using my universal remote, their remote, changing batteries, resetting the unit, even had them replace it once, same issue with new box sadly...but that was almost a year ago.
Doesn't always happen but sometimes i hit a button 2-3x and like 10 seconds later it all starts to happen very weird and when ff during recording playback it JUMPS to the END of recording vs letting me search towards the last 5-10 mins, not using the super fast 5 arrow search either, even on slow 2 arrow search it LEAPS forward to end of program - very annoying.
Thanks for any input or advice on this box, newer boxes, fixes, quirks, can i do two tvs off it both on 1080i etc etc.
