Well, it's time to jump in the 1080p bandwagon, so i need a new TV as well. I've been trying to decide between getting the KDL-52XBR5 now, or waiting until Jan to get the KDS-Z70XBR5.

I also have been all over Sony to confirm that either / both units really support the HDMI 1.3 spec, and to date online chat, calls into sales & tech support, and a 2 month email "conversation" with sales support have yet to yield a definitive answer.

So, any input on a recommendation or answers on the 1.3 piece would be welcomed.
