Hello I have been doing some researching on the panasonic Lifi. I like the fact that it has a 5 year bulb and this is fantastic :) HOWEVER after the 5 year passes how much is it to replace this new bulb?? I have seen on some sites that it will put a DENT on the wallet to a tune of 650 or more!! I have seen that the circuit board will go out probably before the bulb will :confused: So has anyone heard how much it will cost to replace this bulb. Thanks for the help...

I wouldn't worry about the cost of the lamp. Treat it the way we used to CRTs. It is the specs (no 1080p/24, no 120Hz, no iris, poor blacks and contrast) that stopped me. On top of that, the reviews and the owners report banding. The lamp is actually the best part. Panasonic will replace it ONCE, if it should fail, within the 5-year warranty period. The probability of the second failure is in my opinion too low to make it an issue. Also, when faced with the expense of having it replaced (you can't do it yourself) you will buy a better, and a lot cheaper, new set.
