Just noticed this piece on the Optoma website. Seems like an awesome solution as it only needs 30 inches for a 100 inch screen. This company has some serious cash flow and I wouldn't be surprised to see them at the digital forefront in the future.

Nicely packaged indeed, BUT.... its just a mirrored RP version of a typical Optoma budget machine with a short throw. Nothing innovative or "Ultra High End" there TBH.
The mirrors and the screen will make it a good bit more expensive, but at heart its just a standard Optoma machine with a 0.5 throw lens.

Actually it's not so much the innovation (as RP has been done ) as the implementation. I have seen other units but they needed much more space behind the projector like 5- 7 feet. No other projector company is offering this and Optoma projectors at 1080p have an incredible image, with spectacluar price/performance point, rivaling 1080p from many companies.
This option is better than a $80,000 plasma IMO because you can always change out the projector.
and what would make it ultra high end?...I know add a SIM projector:rolleyes:

They also have a 120" version that requires 40" of space behind the screen. Its been out for a while, so I don't know what they have not bothered to put in on their web site.
