I've been searching through old threads all day hoping to find an answer to this, but no luck. So, I figured I would start a new thread...
I have a Samsung HP-S5053 that developed some red and green spotting. Tech came out and adjusted the voltage. They also did a few things in the service menu, but I am not sure what they did. Spots went away, but the picture now appears to be grainy and much lower quality than it did prior.
The entire screen seems to be lightly "snowing", with the pixels sort of flashing. This is not a drastic, "in your face" type of difference, but I can certainly notice something detracting from the overall quality and crispness. In certain scenes it appears the pixels are breathing and causing an annoying movement (especially in the backgrounds) within the picture.
Example: Spiderman 2 at the 12-15 minute mark in Aunt Mae's kitchen. The green wall in the background appears to be slightly moving or breathing.
Same movie, 29:00 min, elevator scene. Walls outside of elevator seem to be lightly glistening and Spidey's suit looks like it is sparkling.
In the first Harry Potter movie, at the beginning of the film when they lay the infant Harry on the front step and lay a note on him, the note looks like there is a snow effect on it.
Overall PQ in several movies just seems to be slightly off and muted due to this.
I recalibrated using AVIA, but this did not help.
Has anyone else heard of this after adjusting the voltage, or am I just overanalyzing due to the tv just being worked on? My wife even noticed the difference, and she is definately not as picky as I am.
Any thoughts would be apprecitated.

Read the last few pages of the Samsung sticky found above. I bought the 5064 and am now on my third set.
This last set i picked up was fine until tonight and it startd doing the same thing you are describing. If you read the last few pages, you might get something out of it. I am not sure if it is a shortcoming of the Samsung Plasma technology or an actual defect in the set.
Just to let you know, I have had the green pixels and shimmering in all the 3 sets i had in the past month. And you are absolutely right. it does greatly affect the picture quality.
