I just purchased a Panasonic TH-42PZ700U and it looks fantastic. I plugged in my Xbox 360 and set it to 1080i... 1080p is a no go I hear, but now have a questions regarding connecting my Cox HD DVR.

1. What type of HDMI cable should I use. I have a HDMI 1.0 and an HDMI 1.3a Category 2 cable.

2. Are they backwards compatible?

3. Is there a noticeable difference in picture between the 1.0 and 1.3A?
