I have been using the XS-35 for about a month now and I have noticed that you can not access the menu on a dvd made with this machine with a remote that does not have a "Root" menu button. On some cheaper dvd players I have tried, they only have a MENU button, and it will not work to get to the menu on the burned dvd. Only "Root" or "Top" menu buttons work.
Anyone run across this glitch? Is there a workaround?
If you skip throught all the chapters, then it will go to the menu, not much fun. I figure I could set it to go the the menu after playing each title, but not always the way I want my dvds to play. Having the menu on first play helps to start, but still can not access menus once it is playing.
I also use a Pioneer Dvr-640 and you can access menus with any remote with on discs made with it.
The reason this is a concern for me is that I make dvds for other people, never knowing what kind of player they may be using.
