Hello everyone

Quick question:
I just purchased the Hitachi P50H401 (http://shopping.yahoo.com/p:Hitachi%20P50H401%20Television:1994684341:page=details;_yl t=AqE_1BDoezgZi8WvP9tEyv4RSXAD;_ylu=X3oDMTA5ZW01N2htBHNlYwNi Z3NpYg--?clink=dmps/p50h401/ctx=mid:6,pid:1994684341,pdid:6,pos:1,spc:14489115,date:2007 1119,srch:kw,x:) (Plasma) from Best Buy yesterday to replace my Hitachi 57F59 (http://shopping.yahoo.com/p:Hitachi%2057F59%20Television:1994178443:page=details;_ylt= AqE_1BDoezgZi8WvP9tEyv4RSXAD;_ylu=X3oDMTA5ZW01N2htBHNlYwNiZ3 NpYg--) (CRT). I was curious if anyone knows anything about hooking this TV up to a PC via HDMI (as part of an HTPC). The specs for this TV (from Hitachi USA) state that it can receive a 1080p signal through HDMI, so I assume it would work fine. However, my current setup (57F59) only worked as a "monitor" for a few weeks, before the HDMI input fried. I always assumed the reason for this could be that the 57F59 wasn't meant to be used as a monitor, nor was it meant to receive such a high resolution? That of course is just an assumption on my part as I have no clue if it's accurate or not. I just want to be sure that I'm not going to be frying any of the HDMI inputs on my new TV...any help would be greatly appreciated.

TIA. :D
