I have a Westinghouse 37W3 SE and I just bought a Microsoft VGA cable for my 360. Could someone please give me their base setting for vga on this tv? I had it looking really good but I accidentally reset my settings and they were lost. I have already ordered Avia and will not get it for several days. Mass Effect comes out tomorrow and I would like to have vga settings that are close so the picture will look good.

I see that this is a 1080p HDTV. Set the Xbox 360 output to 1920 x 1080.

this is configured with AVIA in the xbox dvd drive, the halo disc gave me similar results, but i prefer the picture that avia gave me.


also, there are a LOT of users who posted their settings in the westinghouse 37w3 thread in the display section.

46 bright? that seems way more then i have mine set too. I think i have 5 sharp. Ill check tonight. I dont have any video calibration dvd though so I could be wack.

46 bright with ZERO backlight (a.k.a The Sun)

also sharpness in VGA does nothing, so it doesnt matter what you set it to.

This is a known problem with the Westy. The EDID is incorrect so the Xbox doesn't properly recognize the display as 1080P capable. There is a sticky in the LCD forum that explains how to flash your display's firmware with the correct EDID.

can we get some pictures. I'd like to be able to see owners setups/screens.

I'm thinking about picking up this set, but would like to see games on it.

i've posted quite a few in the screenshots thread.... though it may be hard to navigate through so many pages.
