Apologies if this has been covered before, tried searching but only coming up with confusing info.

Trying to get my harmony 885 to work with my C2D mini. Found a post that recommended I add the device in harmony as an apple TV. This doesn't seem to work. Do I need to do anything on the mini or on the remote to pair these, or teach new IR commands? Was hoping that it would be as easy as simply adding the correct device.

Any tips appreciated.

Thanks

Trying to get my harmony 885 to work with my C2D mini.

Make sure your Apple Remote is not paired with your mini. Open System Preferences and click Security. If the Unpair button is available, click it. The message should read: "This computer will work with any available remote".

There are quite a few configurations for Apple Remotes in the Harmony database. Under "Computer", "Apple", try "Mac Mini 1.66GHz Intel Core Duo" or "A1156" (the remote's model number). The basic six buttons ought to work.

However, I've never been able to get my Harmony 880 to emit the 'press and hold' commands. None of the configs I've tried seem to have these; can't teach them to the Harmony in learning mode. Anyone have a tip?
