I'm really hyped to see this one! Mortal Kombat, Resident Evil, and Tomb Raider stand out as the best videogame to movie adaptations. But, will Hitman be a turning point for the genre? I'm glad they kept the R rating, but Timothy Olyphant as Agent 47?....not sure he's the best fit for the bald-headed assassin. It opens tommorrow, and if I can break away from Mass Effect, I'll be checking it out.

I think they did a good job with the Tomb Raider movies. Pretty much captured the essence of the video games.

I never expect these movies to be Oscar material, and I tend to wait until they are on the movie channel for free so I'm never too dissappointed by them. If I paid 12 bucks to watch them in the theater I would feel ripped off.

I always find it interesting to watch how writers and directors bring a video game to the big screen. I'll at least watch it but I wish they would have used Jason Statham as 47.

Great pick! Didn't think of him! Although he's kinda short, but so is Timothy Olyphant. Agent 47 seems kinda tall.

for sure, awesome acting in an awesome show.... really surprised me cause i could care less about westerns, but deadwood is amazing.

it was pretty awesome seeing him on Earl, and he's supposed to be doing voice for the next turok.... but agent 47? he just looks weird with a bald head and no handlebar mustache.

and i'm guessing statham is too short and stalky.... he would PLAY the part well, but i dont think he'd look the part they wanted.

I can't tell if you are being sarcastic or not... Tomb Raider is one of the worst movies I've ever seen in my life with RE not too far behind. MK was ok at best.

If you can get past the fact that like every video game they're not going follow the story of the game and break canon in every way possible then it may be a good action flick.

i didnt say he wouldnt play the part well... it's just hard to watch when it doesnt "feel" like hitman.

i think with MOST video game movies, they should name them something else, so they dont have to live up to any hype.

think about it... without the attachment to the video game, there isnt all the hype to live up to, to satisfy the gaming nerds... the RE movies all by themselves were pretty decent movies, just not completely accurate to the game.

i wanna go to the movies, watch an action flick titled "the assassin" or whatever... then i notice the tattoo, or the agent 47 name and think "cool, a hitman reference" VS pointing out all the inaccuracies and complaining because they call it hitman when it's nothing like the hitman game.

Movies based on games are mostly horrible. I honestly can't think of one that was good. Resident Evil was ok, but still a lot worse than other sci-fi/horror movies out there.

Also, most games based on movies suck. It's a two-way street of suckiness.

But if they stopped making videogame-based movies, what would Uwe Boll do with his life???

I still like Street fighter and Mortal Kombat-1st one. They stuck with me ever since I was a kid even though they're cheesy.

I liked the 1st Mortal Kombat movie...nothing cheesy about Princess Kitana and Sonya Blade-Sampras. :p

street fighter (anime ver.) was actually really good, i'm sure that doesn't count though and i didn't think that RE2 was too bad either. tomb raiders sucked but the mortal kombats were good cheesy fun

No video game movie has been worth the price of admission and not worth my time to watch at home either.

I saw the movie today, and nothings wrong with it, and it was only 7 bucks. some points yes it does not make sense that an assassin would be so obvious, but his cover is blown anyway, and that was kind of the point of the movie....and there were definitely some funny parts too. I say there is no reason to not see it, the girl is fine in the movie too. The actor did a good job acting like someone who's sole purpose was to kill, and knew nothing other than it. I do have some questions about the plot cuz i got a little confused but i won't say anything to spoil the movie here.

Pyramid head tearing the skin off the girl in front of the church and the room full of scalpel holding nurses :D were some of my favorite scenes that brought back a lot of the imminent dread you actually felt while playing the game!!

Silent Hill was great until they get to the church. From there onwards, terrible.

Tomb Raider made for a pretty decent movie IMO.

this movie was dead when they failed to cast statham, diesel or bruce willis in the lead role.
