A question for you dedicated souls who have already picked up Rock Band: how have you planned to store the kit when not in use, especially the drums? Are these things easily collapsible?

wouldn't take more than a minute or two to break down. I plan on keeping it as is and just putting it down in the laundry room when I'm not playing.

Thanks ileff, that pretty much answers it right there. I was hoping that the top drumming surface could become more compact, but hey, maybe it will look cool on a wall mount with my real guitars? Then again...
