I'm using a Motorola 3416 I on RCN in Boston, and I just got a Symphonic WF32L. The Symphonic is replacing a 30" Philips HDTV.
I've noticed lately that the HDD in the STB is actually audible with everything else off. It's not clicking or anything, but I can definitely hear it.
Now, I'm watching TV tonight, and it seems like it's a bit choppy. Almost unnoticeable, but it's definitely there. It's not pixelated like with a weak signal, it's choppy, like trying to watch an HD video on a computer just not quite powerful enough for it.
If the HDD is failing, would that cause choppy video? Is there anyway the LCD itself could be to blame?
