My Polaroid 2001G was working fine for past few months; now suddenly the remote control is not functioning - it looks like the "Rewind" or the "previous chapter" key is stuck and whatever key I press on the remote control, it rewinds.

This is very very frustrating. I looked in eBay for a replacement remote and could not find one.

Can someone tell me where I can get a replacement remote ? or if there is another way I could fix this problem?

I would appreciate it very much, thanks a lot!

Thanks.

Try Three things. First, remove batteries from the remote and replace them after a minute or so. I do it for that long to remove any residual charge, but it is usually not needed.

If that does not work, pull the plug on the Polo and replug after a minute or so.

Third, go to setup and find reset to factory defaults and do so.

I've got two excellent remotes, hardly ever been used. I programed some universal remotes when recorders were new and stashed the originals.

I also have two dead Polaroids that are about to go to the dumpster. So I would probably give it all to you if you were local.

If you were to figure some way for me to get the remote to you without any cost to me and least amount of effort possible, I might be able to help you out.

Are these remotes for the DRM-2001g model? I would provide for you to send them to me.

You can use the codes to make everything functional on a new universal remote so long as it has a JP1 connector.

There is a 2001G file at http://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/dload.php?action=file&file_id=5161

Where is 'local'?
