I have noticed alot more dvd's coming out in 5.1 dds,but i can only get 3.3.2 out of my Sony receiver. Are there any dvd recorders/players that will output 5.1 dds? I know we cannot record 5.1 dds but really want to get the full use out of my receiver. Any thoughts on this. By the way these boards are great!!

The Philips DVDR3575 has an Audio option where you can switch between 5.1 and 2.0 DD when playing back DVDs. I don't play many DVDs, so I've never used or tested that feature. (pg 79 of manual)

I just tested the movie "Michael" and the 3575 auto-played in DD 5.1. When I pressed the Audio button, it showed 5.1 ch English selected, with options for 2 ch French and 2 ch Spanish.
