I'm setting up my OTA antenna with my HDTV for the first time (new to the process) and have checked all the appropriate sites such as AntennaWeb, etc., to find the right type of antenna and direction to point it. What I'm having trouble understanding is this: my TV doesn't seem to know that there's digital signal coming in. Yes, mine has a built-in tuner; I don't see anything after I scan available channels that would suggest that it's trying to receive anything other than the regular-def channels. Do I have to switch something in my TV's menus to have it look for digital signals only? If not, how do I tune to channels such as "13.1" and "18.1"???

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Ben

Your TV's manual might say something about this. If you don't have the manual or can't make sense of it, post your TV's brand and model number and someone here might be able to point you to an online version of the manual, or help you decipher it.

Always post two vital pieces of info:

1. Your ZIP code.
2. What type of antenna you have (be as detailed as you can w/o guessing).
