I just bought my first HDTV (Samsung LNT3253H) and need an antenna. I would prefer an indoor one. Any suggestions?

Please let us know your ZIP code.

The antenna you need depends greatly on how far you are from the TV stations you are trying to receive.

33467 here and about 3-6 miles from the HD antennas...

If you have any "rabbit ears" lying around, first, try what you have.

If not, the unamplified Silver Sensor is a pretty good indoor antenna. I noticed the digital version of your CBS station is on 13, a VHF frequency. The Silver Sensor is really a UHF antenna, but at that distance might be OK. The DB2 is really an outdoor antenna, but some people use it as an indoor antenna.

Both are pretty directional; you will have to rotate to aim at different stations.

Thanks for the feedback. I used to use the Radio Shack 15-1862 back in 2003 with my old DirecTV HD box and it worked AMAZINGLY well. Was able to get stations from like 75 miles away.

About 2 years ago I started not being able to pick up many stations. Since I moved to Comcrap's HD service, I did not really use the OTA signals so I pretty much forgot about it. Well now my new Sony KDS-60A3000 has built in HD tuner and I want to see how the reception is and I still can't seem to get a signal (maybe a few analog stations, but that is about it).

I am beginning to wonder if my anntena is shot. Hence why I am looking at these threads again. Been out of the loop for a few years :)

Was looking at this one:

But will check the one you mentioned too.
