I recently saw a rack in an ad or online somewhere that had the NEMA power recetacles integrated in the back sides of the rack. It allows extremely short power cords and looks really clean. Does anyone know this product? I am guessing its from Mid atlantic?

I have a current equipment room with a DIY wood shelving setup that is flush with the theater side wall that I want to scrap and replace with a 42u or so rack. I have plenty of space behind the rack so I dont need it to swivel or move out.

If I cant figure out what rack has these neat integrated power outlets, then is one of the WRK-SA 19" Stand-Alone Enclosures the normal non swivel rack that people use?

John,

I used the MA Slim-5 racks in my my application. There was a good thread a while back called Show me your rack (http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?t=788074&highlight=your+rack&page=3). In that thread I posted a picture of the new short power cords (http://www.middleatlantic.com/power/iec.htm) MA is advertising for their integrated power strips.

I recently bought two of these power strips and they worked out great. They have various models and they publish an application chart (http://www.middleatlantic.com/power/vps.htm) for which power strips fit which rack.

Good Luck,

Billmac
