I am just about set up with my home theatre. Been trying alot of speakers for the front and have finally beleive it or not settled on the R50's from polk. I have had the Klipsch synergy 3 and they were good. I almost kept them but then went to the polk and wow for the price of one klipsch to my ears the polk set was much better.

I then settled for the R150's for the back and they match perfectly. These speakers for the price are amazing. So glad I tried them before keeping the klipsch saved me alot of dough.

Now that I have the front and surround I need a center channel. Any klipsch speaker for the center that will go nicely with my set I have now. All is hooked up thru a onkyo 605.

I also need a sub but leary on what size. The room I have is huge. Its 30x25. A big room to have to fill sound up with. People say ya need to go big. But really my r-50's fill the room pretty dam good. But I want to feel the lows ya cannot here and feel the punch of a gun without alot of slop.

All hooked up is a A3, Comcast HD DVR, Wii and 360 all going into the onkyo upto panny pz77 thru HDMI.

Give us a budget and whether you require a small sub or can go big...

Well I cannot put a price on good sound other wise I would pay for it till I replace it. So price is just whatever it takes to get good sub to fill room nicely.

Go with a Epik Conquest

Cant get any better for the price, plus some.

If you can, you might want two subs. This gives you the option to co-locate them for maximum output, or place them in different places to give the smoothest frequency response in your room. It also gives more placement options, because they'll be smaller than if you get one huge sub, so they'll fit in more places. You could look at getting two Hsu VTF-3 MK3's (on sale for $629 each right now) or two eD A5-350's. SVS has their PB12 Plus's on sale as well, two for $1499. I would personally prefer two subwoofers over one huge one, but if you want to have one enormous sub, you could look at the Epik Conquest or the eD A7-900 (you'll need about 4 friends to help you move the A7-900, though!).

Hmm I like the look and size of that a5-350. I should try one of them and see how it fills the room. Can always add a second later. For the price and reading some reviews on the A5-350 it seems to rival the Epik.

To get something that big, shipped for $600 is pretty impressive by itself. To get something that puts out the quality and quantity of bass the a5-350 puts out for $600, shipped, is amazing. Just make sure you have a buddy with you to move it - it's a cool 120+ pounds ;)
