I'm trying to find out if there's differences in Bluetooth headsets, as far as range is considered. I'd like to get something that works well with the PS3, and has a long range. It would be a bonus if it had a mute button.
1) Are there differences in range, and if so, anyone know of a good PS3 one with a long range?
2) Is there such a thing as a BT extender or repeater? I kind of doubt it, but I thought I'd ask.
Someone is invariably going to ask why I need this, so let me explain. I have a Sony LocationFree base station, which is kind of like SlingBox. Sometimes when I play poker online with the PS3, I run the video through the LF base station to my my PSP or PC so I can do something else while I'm playing. I've discovered that I can go upstairs (where my PC is) and play, and the PS3 controller works just fine from there. But my BT headset cuts in and out. It's *almost* strong enough, but not quite. So I'm hoping there's a way to solve this.
Thanks!
Dan
