I am trying to set up some OTA for my dad's Samsung LN-T375HA in Novi, MI 48375. It is connected to just standard cable through the wall, though we have digital cable in the other room He have some rabbit ears connected but they get very poor reception that cuts in and out all the time. We can get a few stations through the cable, but those are very standard ABC, CBS NBC, and FOX and thats about it. I have tried going to antennaweb and the like but need some advice on what i need to do to get the OTA working properly. Thanks for any help.

If you have Comcast, you should get 7 local HD stations from the cable directly into the set. If you want other HD, like ESPN, ESPN2, A&E, TNT, etc., or any of the premium movie channels, you will need a HD set-top-box from Comcast.

See the first post of this topic for details on what Comcast carries:

Ken H is correct that via the internal QAM tuner in your TV you should be able to receive unencrypted HD channels from your cable provider feed with no additional equipment or cost (assuming you can connect the room in which the TV is in to the cable feed). For OTA (over the air) you most likely will need a good antenna. I would call antennasdirect and just talk to them about your situation. They have links to their website all over AVS Forum. I have used them in the past and been quite satisfied with the results.
