For those of you who have a PS2 (or have non-40 GB PS3) and like the gunplay of Uncharted, let me recommend a PS2 game for you... 24. It is based on the TV series, and the story takes place between season 2 and 3.

It has a good cover system similar in some ways to Uncharted, and also a really nice variety of missions that allow you to use many characters from the show for everything from espionage to computer hacking to car chase sequences to sniping and more. The game was written by the actual 24 writers and voiced by all of the actors.

The quality of the story production is honestly on par with Uncharted; it's very immersive, making you want to know what happens next, and the voice acting is absolutely perfect throughout. Despite the obviously weaker graphics it holds up well for being on the PS2. Check it out, especially if you are a fan of the show.

2 hours left on Season 1 currently. My girlfriend is hooked and is scared to start season 2 tonight for fear that she we will stay up watching it all night.

I have never heard her say "WTF" so many times when she saw the last seconds tick at the end of the show.

The game sucks and I'm as big of a fan of the show as one gets.

Can someone explain something about the "24" game to me.

Wikipedia indicates the game supports 1080i resolution...

Is that true, and if how does it look on a PS3 compared with other PS2 games?

I can't believe you mentioned that game along with Uncharted.

I had a great time with it, and the two games have some similarities in the gunplay so I thought I'd toss it out as a recommendation. The cover system in 24 works well (obviously not as detailed as Uncharted, but still very good), and it has a great storyline.

There are quite a few unique gameplay scenarios in it to keep it interesting besides the shooting as I mentioned above. The interrogation sequences as an example are REALLY well done. You have to balance the way you question and torture the suspect or they panic too much to help you, just like the TV show. Very few games do I go back to play again after beating it, but I went ahead and played it through on the harder difficulty as soon as I finished it.

It's at least worth a rental, but I bet it could be found for $10 (that's what I paid for it). Most movie/game tie-ins are horrible but this was a surprisingly good exception to the rule.

I've never seen it either. So there are at least two of us.
